The hotel's location away from the traffic allowed for a peaceful and comfortable stay. The highlight of our stay was the very nice Japanese dinner with three courses served in a private dining room. The staff was cheerful and attentive, making the dining experience even better. The hotel also provided a free shuttle service to the nearby JR station, making transportation convenient. The large Japanese zen garden and beautiful riverside location added to the overall charm of the hotel. The public baths were spacious and offered a variety of themes. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a wide selection of dishes. Despite a few minor downsides, such as limited food options in the area and some maintenance issues in our room, the hotel overall was very good. I highly recommend a stay of at least three nights to fully enjoy the traditional Japanese experience offered by Hotel Gyokusen.

The hotel had clean common areas, spacious onsens that were switched daily for variety, and a delicious breakfast buffet with a Japanese-style fish grill. The location beside a river was perfect for evening walks, and there were many transportation options to explore this city.
Nothing to dislike.

The breakfast served in the hotel was really delicious and filling. The staff were helpful enough to offer free shuttle services from the nearby station to the hotel which was very convenient. The onsen was also a great experience.
The location of the hotel was not ideal for a city trip as it was quite far from the city center. the room was quite small and cramped which made the stay uncomfortable.

During my Christmas stay at this onsen hotel, I was impressed by the size and beauty of the Japanese garden and the variety of baths available to guests. the spacious and clean rooms were perfect for my family, and the shuttle service from the nearby train station was very convenient. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the traditional evening performances provided an enjoyable cultural experience. the food was exceptional, with a variety of dishes to choose from.
The hotel's facilities were a bit outdated and the food lacked some flavor, but it was still a comfortable and relaxing stay. the town itself had limited attractions, but the riverside location provided a serene atmosphere and picturesque views.
